Celebrate Olympics, But Leave the Fireworks Out of if, Say Police
Even though the city's burning ban has been lifted, fireworks permit period is long over, however several incidents in the past week indicate people aren't getting the message, and might be celebrating Olympic victories with a bang.

Muskego Police were called several times throught the past week to address complaints of residents blowing off fireworks.
"While the burning ban has been lifted, that does not mean we are good to go for fireworks too," Lt. Dave Constantineau reminded residents. He also said that if the intent was to celebrate "America’s Olympic triumphs with bombs bursting in air, it’s just not allowed. Fireworks are only allowed in Muskego by permit, and then only during the first week of July... So the next time America wins gold, we will have to be satisfied with waving old glory and singing the Star Spangled Banner without the light show."
