Computer Glitch Sends Out Overdue Library Notices
An email was sent Wednesday to library users stating they have fines for materials returned two months ago.

A glitch with the countywide library computer system sent out overdue notices Wednesday to library users in Waukesha County that are part of the CAFE system. The notices state they have to pay fines for materials that were due back at the library in August.
Muskego Public Library officials have confirmed that the issue is system-wide, and being a part of the CAFE (Catalog Access for Everyone) system users there may also be receiving these notices.
"Oops! Did you get an e-mail or text saying "First Overdue Notice" from the library today? If so, we apologize! The CAFE Consortium, of which MPL is a member, is testing the new catalog using old data, and notices were inadvertently sent. Please give us a call if you have concerns, or check your account online. We hope your Wednesday started out better than ours!" states the Library's Facebook page.
