Corvette Club Gives Charities a Lift
Car Show proceeds help the Muskego Senior Taxi program and the Muskego Food Pantry
The Muskego Corvette Club met Wednesday evening and presented checks to two local nonprofits totaling $1,350.
The Muskego Food Pantry and Muskego Senior Taxi each received $675 from the club, which raised funds during its annual car show, which was held in August.
Bill Schneider and Julie Frahman were on hand to accept the donations for the Senior Taxi and Food Pantry, respectively. Senior Taxi provides low-cost rides to area seniors to get to appointments in and outside of the city, and has been in existence for about six years.

The Muskego Food Pantry has seen its own numbers grow in response to a lagging economy. Frahman told the group that so far in 2012, the pantry had served 2600 families in providing groceries, and will provide Thanksgiving meals to about 100 families this week.
