Crime Corner: Muskego 'Garbage Bandit' Strikes Twice in Same Neighborhood

Garbage dumped in yards, drunk drivers and underage drinking highlight the incident report from the Muskego Police Department

Friday, Jan. 27 -

  • A mailbox in the S6700 block of Hillendale Dr. was damaged between 2pm on January 26 and 10am on January 27
  • A resident in the S10300 block of Victoria Dr. reported around 3:00pm, that a person in a dark colored Mitsubishi threw trash in his yard
  • An employee at Wal-Mart reported the theft of iPhones on January 23 and January 27. On January 29, a 21 year old Eagle man was arrested and charged with the thefts
  • Fourteen underage persons from Muskego, Wind Lake, New Berlin and Mukwonago received citations or underage alcohol assessment referrals after an underage drinking party at a closed business in the W19200 block of Enterprise Dr. was reported.


Saturday Jan. 28 –

  • An officer checking on a disabled vehicle near HWY 36 and Thode Dr. resulted in a 29 year old Racine woman being arrested for drunk driving.
  • A 31 year old Big Bend man was jailed after refusing to stop for an officer on Crowbar Rd. The man was charged with eluding an officer, operating after revocation, his 3rd drunk driving charge, and bail jumping.
  • Four vehicles illegally parked at the end of Hillview Dr. received citations.

Sunday, Jan. 29 – A bartender at High Tide was cited for tending bar without a license.

Monday, Jan. 30 – A man reported the theft of groceries and personal documents from his car while it was parked at Lakeshore Medical on Janesville Rd.

  • Around 11:00am, a person reported a subject in a black Ford Ranger extended cab pick-up, with extensive front end damage, attempted to steal a boat from Sobek’s Resort, on Woods Rd. near Bay Lane. The boat was dumped near Bay Lane and Spinnaker, before the truck fled north on Bay Lane and then north on Martin Dr.
  • Garbage was again dumped on a lawn in the S10300 block of Victoria Dr.
  • The Muskego Police Department received a call from a concerned citizen about a possible intoxicated driver. Investigation led to the arrest of a 40 year old Muskego woman for drunk driving.
