Donations for Nearby Fire Victims Accepted During Jammin' on Janesville
Fire in Janesville Road apartment complex has displaced 20 people, and Bethel Lutheran Church to Collect Financial Donations during Jammin' on Janesville

Bethel Lutheran Church will be accepting financial donations for the victims of last Sunday’s two-alarm fire in New Berlin’s Wyndridge apartments. Bethel Lutheran’s Pastor Anne Strickert, currently resides in the Wyndridge community but her building was not damaged.
Strickert said, “With the widespread exposure and attendance during Jammin’ on Janesville, I felt that our message of faith could best be delivered with action.” She hoped that the residents of Muskego would stop by Bethel Lutheran and donate to this cause during Friday evening’s event.
Bethel Lutheran is just one of 85 sponsoring participants of Jammin’ on Janesville. Three other area parishes, including St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Leonard’s Catholic Church, and Heritage Presbyterian Church have formed one, unified team for this event. “It is important to all of us, in spite of our specific practices, to have Christ’s presence at Jammin’ on Janesville. Helping these victims contributes to that effort,” said Strickert.
Some of the residents lost almost all of their possessions during the fire while others are displaced due to a lack of utilities in their apartments. Regardless, residents were given a 3-6 month timeline before they can return to their units. Although most residents have insurance, many were informed their policies do not cover these damages. All funds collected will be deposited into the account. Additional donations can be made directly to any Associated Bank branch.
