Muskego Girls' Basketball Organization has a membership including high school and grade school club players, from fourth grade to seniors.Β Along with their interest in raising awareness in girls hoops, especially for those younger than fourth grade, the organization is sponsoring the first of many annual 'Hoops for Hope' tournaments.Β
Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 17 and 18, at's gyms will feature dozens of match ups involving more than 40 teams spanning fourth to 12th grade. Schroeder said interest has already been high, and they have 42 teams committed to playing in the tournament, which will collect food and monetary donations for the during its run.
"It is open to the public, and will involve both gyms at the high school," he explained. "We're offering $1 off admission with a nonperishable food donation, and for every food item up to 500 we are matching that dollar donation."

The tournament runs 8-8 on Saturday, and 9-5 on Sunday.Β
