Free Health Clinic To Open in Muskego

Eagle's Wing Free Clinic will serve people who have no health insurance and meet income guidelines.

The nonprofit organization Eagle's Wing will open its free clinic in Muskego June 6 in the lower level of Old Town Hall, W183 S8232 Racine Avenue.

Eagle's Wing serves people who have no health insurance and meet income guidelines (less than 200 percent of the federal poverty level). It provides services such as acute and chronic illness management, nursing assessment, health education and blood pressure screening.

The clinic will be open 5 to 8 p.m. every Thursday, except holidays. For more information, visit the Eagle's Wing website or call (262) 385-9211.

As Muskego Patch reported earlier this month, the clinic got its start after Jillian Peterson, a nurse practitioner and volunteer at St. Leonard, saw a need in the community as families were losing jobs and insurance.

She partnered with Jennie Soika, another parent at the church school, and one thing led to another until a group of professionals formed to build the staff needed. They struck a deal with the Muskego Historical Society to use the space in the Old Town Hall.
