Had Enough Yet? More Construction Starts, This Time It's Highway 36

Beginning Monday, motorists who use Highway 36 will see the happy orange barrels from Highway Y south to Highway 20 for a resurfacing project.

Our friends at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation have announced yet another road project that could impact Muskego motorists.

Resurfacing work will begin next week on Highway 36, from County Y in Wind Lake (near Lakeview Elementary) to Highway 20. The contractor, Payne and Dolan, will begin rolling out barrels on Monday, August 27, but will pause operations over the Labor Day holiday.

The $2.4 million project, that includes milling, repaving, base patching, signals, and restriping, is anticipated to be completed in November of this year.   One lane of traffic will remain open at all times during construction.
