How Much Did Muskego Give to Obama, Romney?

While polls show President Barack Obama may have more support from Wisconsin voters than Republican candidate Mitt Romney, there are some indications that the race may be tightening.
A Marquette University poll released this week shows Obama leading Romney, 53 percent to 42 percent, which is down from the 14-point lead Obama held in the same poll in mid-September.

Despite Obama leading in the polls, Romney is ahead in campaign contributions in Muskego, which is not likely a big surprise, especially as the candidate visited here in March as a primary candidate. The former governor has garnered nearly $7,000 in contributions from residents through Aug. 31, while Obama received $2,100.

The total for Romney included 22 donations from 10 residents ($1,000 being the highest single donation), while Obama's 28 donations came from 11 local supporters ($500 was the largest single donation).
