Janesville Road Phase II Underway
Crews are at work even while the snow flies to start the utilities construction on the western half of the road project
If it's true that there are two seasons in Wisconsin - winter and road construction - it's possible that winter is already over in Muskego.
Crews have started clearing trees and readying the ground for the next phase of the Janesville Road project, beginning on the west end at Racine Avenue and working east. Eventually they will also be removing DJ's Pub and the electronic display sign in front of Thomas Jewelers.
Last week's public information meeting laid out what the new roadway will require to have removed, and includes a swath of land on the south side of Janesville between Sindic Motor Cars and Pioneer Drive. Crews will first remove trees prior to trenching work that will bury the overhead power and phone lines.Â
