Liquor Store Burglarized, Leads Being Sought

An overnight break-in of the longtime family business has police looking for information and store owners stunned that it could happen.

Sometime overnight on Jan. 2 the Muskego Beer and Liquor store was burglarized, and police are asking for the community's help.

Posting a plea on their Facebook page, the department said the break in occurred between the hours of 9 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday.

Craig Fischer, family member and owner of the store, which has been a Muskego business since 1970, was emotional when he spoke with Muskego Patch on the nature of the incident.

"They took...a lot," Fischer said, shaking his head. "It sucks...I hope they catch the guy - I can't believe it."

Apparently the suspect or suspects broke in, damaging a door, and stole top shelf liquor in the overnight hours. No damage estimate was available.
