Meeting Preview: CDA Agenda Reveals A Busy Year for Muskego

Redevelopment districts located throughout the city and Community Development Authority will also discuss what grants for businesses may be used for.

Depending on who you are, you're either nervous or excited about the changes coming to the city in the next few years. In particular, next year's construction agenda includes the county's project on Janesville, as well as city projects for Tess Corners Drive and Pioneer Drive.

The Community Development Authority will meet Tuesday evening at 6pm to discuss redevelopment in these areas, as well as a district set up at Mill Valley on the city's north side as well as in the Business Park.

In addition, a discussion of commerical grants, which assist businesses in improving their facades as part of the road projects, and what they can and can't be used for will be on the agenda. Earlier discussion revealed some debate over what grants may not include, like basic cosmetic fixes including decorative planters. Some on the CDA would prefer to see more lasting upgrades, like facade improvements and lot resurfacing, when businesses make their requests.
