Meeting Preview: Common Council Discusses Lake Park Purchase
Resolution which would tender a $3.55 million offer to purchase land for a park on Little Muskego Lake is on the agenda, and will likely dominate the evening at Muskego Lakes Country Club.

As previously reported, there appears to be a Common Council meeting Tuesday night at 7pm.
With Finance Committee and Big Muskego Lake District preceding perhaps the biggest Common Council meeting in a few years (they will convene at 6:30 pm), the venue will be moved to to accommodate a large crowd of people who will take part in the public input session prior to the council's discussion.
The resolution before the council is for a $3.55 million offer to purchase of the Dilworth and Cherek properties. The council has been discussing an offer in two previous closed sessions and is now bringing the resolution to an open session for the first time. To view the agenda (the resolution and aerial images are on pages 6-8), see the attached pdf.

The matter has drawn both pro and con speakers at four previous public input sessions, and as a possible vote on an offer to purchase could be made Tuesday night, many feel this is their final opportunity to weigh in. However, Mayor Kathy Chiaverotti has stated that the public's input will continue to be sought when and if a purchase is final, as planning will then head to the Parks and Recreation Department.
The city has also posted various information on the progression of discussion leading to this resolution.
