Meeting Preview: Muskego 2012 Projects Reviewed by Public Works
Updates on various road projects, discussion of response to heavy rain events, and a review of the city's policy on the aftermath of snow events make up part of a full agenda.

The Muskego Public Works Committee will meet at 6pm Monday at , and will tackle a rather full slate of topics, to include:
- Janesville Road, Durham Drive, Tess Corners Drive, Pioneer Drive Reconstruction updates: while the first two are already begun (Durham Drive will receive a final layer of asphalt to complete it), Pioneer and Tess Corners are slated to begin in 2012. Construction of water mains within Pioneer Drive will also make the agenda
- Recently a public information meeting was held as well with regard to Tess Corners, which the committee will review as well as a floodplain study in relation to Tess Corners Creek at the southern Tess Corners Drive stream crossing
- Woods Road Recreation Trail Construction - a recent public information meeting was held for residents to review the plans thus far, and an update on the plan and response to it will be discussed
- Review status of City efforts in response to the rain events of July 22-24, 2010; major flooding occurred everywhere in the region, and in particular in the Tess Corners area of the city. Where the response has succeeded or come up short will be reviewed.
- Review and recommend changes to the Municipal Code entitled Purity of Supply Not To Be Impaired By Cross Connections. The committee earlier discussed the inspection of any homeowner that is connected to city water that may contaminate the water supply (i.e., hose hook ups that are used for fertilizing lawns with attached bottles). In-home inspections are required by the state, and the city has not conducted any as of yet. How they will execute this mandate was a concern when the issue was last discussed
- Recent snows, although not terribly significant, make the discussion of a modification of policy regarding mailbox damage incurred during City maintenance activities as well as the modification of a policy regarding snow removal from private driveways particularly timely
The meeting will be held in the first floor Alderman's room and the public is welcome to attend.
