Meeting Preview: Muskego Public Safety Committee Will Hear News On 911 from Police Chief
Muskego is ready for cellular 911 as a primary center, but it's yet to happen, as officials wait on the County for an answer.

The Public Safety Committee will meet Wednesday night, and we were told to pencil this one in by Capt. John La Tour as Chief Paul Geiszler will be updating the committee on the cellular 911 transfer calls.
While Muskego had been upgraded to allow for the department's dispatch center to become a primary 911 center, meaning cellular calls made in the city would stay in Muskego, it's yet to happen.
We're hoping to get an answer from the County as to the hold up, and the County Executive's office has forwarded our request to Director of Emergency Preparedness Richard Tuma.

Likely Chief Geiszler will echo the department's concern over the difference in response time, as calls that go direct save about 90 seconds versus those that are currently routed to the county's communications center (WCCC).
The committee will meet at at 6pm, and the public is invited.
