Meeting Preview: Parks to Review Firearms Code

Hints of summer are featured in Monday night's meeting

The Muskego Parks and Recreation board will meet Monday evening at City Hall; among the agenda items are the following:

  • Approve 2012 Baseball Field Requests - the upcoming baseball and softball season is closer than you think
  • Free Little Library Request- yep, we're intrigued on this one, too
  • Hunting & Firearms - a change to the municipal code will be discussed. The current code reads "Hunting and Firearms - It shall be unlawful in any park to hunt, trap or pursue wildlife at any time. No person shall use, carry or possess firearms of any description or ... or any other forms of weapons potentially inimical to wildlife and dangerous to human safety.... Shooting into park areas from beyond park boundaries is prohibited."
  • Summer Program Guide - just as we're looking forward to spring, the new guide to follow will be discussed. Last year, popular programs like movies at Veteran's Memorial Park were featured.
  • Woods Road Trail Update - a public information meeting was held two weeks ago, and plans will likely be changed to address residents concerns received during the feedback session.

The board will meet in the first floor alderman's room at 5:45.
