The Muskego Varsity Boys Volleyball team had never made it to state until this year, and were hoping to make it deep into the playoffs beginning Friday night in a match against the Galloping Ghosts of Kaukauna at Wisconsin Lutheran College. However the Ghosts swept Muskego 3-0 by the set scores of 25-19, 25-11 and 25-23 in the WIAA state quarterfinals, and will advance to Saturday's WIAA state semifinal. While not the first appearance by Kaukauna, it's their first since 1982, <a href="http://www.postcrescent.com/article/20111111/APC020506/111111170/Kaukauna-Ghosts-boys-volleyball-team-cruise-past-Muskego-Warriors-WIAA-state-tournament-quarterfinal" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">according to the Appleton Post-Crescent</a>. Game stats: Kills - Alex Judkins, Kaukauna, 17; Joey Bendoszeski, Muskego, 8. Assists - Philip Utenbroek, Kaukauna, 31; Tony Fugarino, Muskego, 14.
