Muskego Business Leader Heading to China As Part of Milwaukee Mayor's Delegation

President of Global Precision Group, a machine shop in the Muskego business park, will take part in a trip aiming at opening new markets and encouraging overseas investment.

Accoring to an article in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Gale Pence, President of in Muskego, will accompany Mayor Tom Barrett in his second trade mission to China, which departs Sunday.

The weeklong trip will include stops in Beijing and the port city of Ningbo. Pence joins other business leaders and education officials to focus on opening new markets and encouraging Chinese investment in Milwaukee and its suburbs.  Barrett said last week.

Business and government leaders have concentrated on building economic and cultural ties with Ningbo, according to the article to forge an "informal sister-city relationship."

Global Precision Group is a precision machining facility, with products that serve the aerospace, commercial, industrial, medical and defense industries among many others. 

The Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce's China Council is paying for the trip, and highlights of the itinerary include a seminar in Ningbo to promote Milwaukee business; meeting with Wu Li, the Chinese businessman who owns the property that was once the Northridge shopping center; and talking to Ningbo police about purchasing Harley-Davidson motorcycles for their officers.
