Muskego Coffee Shop Offers Art in Many Forms
San Laurio has a few artists in residence, and we caught up with one of them in the act.
For those who frequent along Janesville Road, the drive through is convenient, but stopping in is an extra treat for the senses.
Aside from the aromatic smells of coffee and spices, art is played on most weekends, and hangs on the walls. While engaging in some 'satellite office hours,' your editor was able to meet one of the artists who displays his paintings on the walls.
Frank Wotnoske is responsible for the autumn-themed art presently flanking either side of the stone fireplace, put there on Tuesday to keep up with the changing seasons. A couple of the leaf paintings also employed tree branches as framing, a stroke of insight as Wotnoske completed them.

Marie Sanborn, owner of San Laurio, said Wotnoske is one of three artists who provide work to adorn the quaint shop's walls. The shop also is host to music artists, who perform generally on the weekends to entertain guests relaxing after a week of work.
Wotnoske has been painting for 18 years, and has been using San Laurio as one of his galleries for about two years. He lives in Wind Lake and is often inspired by the lake and his natural surroundings, as his most recent pieces indicate.

The paintings are for sale, and Wotnoske said if there are special requests, he can accommodate those as well.
