Muskego Fire Results in Arrest

Condominium fire was set by owner in early morning hours of Jan. 3.

Muskego Fire and Police Departments received a call to a fire at the condominiums located at Briargate Lane and Parkland Drive at 3:09 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3.

While the investigation is still ongoing, police were able to confirm that residents were evacuated upon their arrival, and the blaze was contained to one unit.

The resident of the condo that the fire started in was questioned by police as to the start of the fire, and she admitted she had intentionally set the blaze.  She has been taken into custody for negligent handling of burning materials and for further evaluation.

We are checking with fire officials to determine the extent of the damage, and whether other residents were displaced after the fire was put out. Once we have that information, we will update the story.
