Muskego Food Pantry Says Thanks and Remember
Director Julie Frahman recalls the early beginnings of the pantry about 2 years ago, and reminds everyone to keep others in your thoughts as you walk through the grocery aisles.

The following is a letter posted in the Muskego Food Pantry's newsletter, reprinted here with permission.
As the holidays approach quickly and we move into November, I am reminded of years past at the food pantry. For our first Thanksgiving in 2009, we packed and provided dinners with turkeys for 20 of our families. In 2010, we had just moved into our new location and gave 40 of our families Thanksgiving dinner. This year, ... we already have 50 families on our list, and another 25 families have signed up with the Muskego Lions Club for their Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. As you can see, the need to help families in the Muskego area has almost doubled every year.

During this time of year when everyone celebrates and gives thanks, the Muskego Food Pantry is thankful for all the private citizens and businesses in our community who think of us on a regular basis with both food and monetary donations. We couldn’t do what we do without your support, and, of course, the generous gift of time from the 15 to 20 volunteers who help us every Thursday and two Saturdays a month.
Please look for our food donation barrels located throughout Muskego. From now until December 31st, the “Food for Families” barrels will be out at , and Muskego – the food in these barrels comes directly to the Muskego Food Pantry. Please think of us when you do your grocery shopping, and know that your donation helps put good, nourishing food on the tables of families in our community.
