Muskego Football Gives Back to the Community

Gridiron boys continue winning ways off the field to help out at Food Pantry

(Editor's note:  a thank you to Karen Hurlbut, who submitted this story and photos of a great show of support by our teens for the this Saturday.)

The Muskego High School football team recently completed a highly successful season in the powerful Southeast Conference, and continued to make a strong presence in the community this past Saturday.  The support that the team received from the Muskego community during their 9-2 season "was overwhelming and the team has decided to give a little back to the community to thank them for that support," according to Karen Hurlbut, a team parent.

All families attending the Football Banquet on Friday, Nov. 18 brought in food items to donate to the Muskego food pantry.  The group of seniors collected the food and then delivered to the food pantry Saturday, Nov. 19. The seniors also remained at the pantry to stock shelves and perform other tasks from 9:00 to 11:00 am.

"During this time of year when we all need to give thanks for what we are fortunate enough to have in our lives, the football team wanted to remember those less fortunate in the community by providing this service," Hurlbut said. "Thanks again to the city of Muskego and all of the support given to the Muskego football team."
