Muskego High School PAC Hosts the Dream

MLK Day presentation is just part of theatrical offerings on stage at the Performing Arts Center

(Thanks to Steven Krause, PAC Manager and Technical Director at Muskego High School, we can share what's on stage just recently and upcoming at the Performing Arts Center.)

On Monday, Jan. 30, the Muskego High School Performing Arts Center became a place for a short trip back in time and American history for many of our area children.  Two matinees of I Have a Dream – The Life and Times of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. were performed for a combined audience of 1,350 Muskego and other area elementary and middle school students.

The national tour company Theatre IV delighted the student audiences with their performance.  The story told of Dr. King’s work and philosophy of non-violent protest in the effort of promoting civil rights in the 1950’s and 1960’s.  Students were inspired by the story of this great leader's struggle and his dream of lifting, in his words, "…our nation from the quicksand of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood."
