Muskego Idol Final Packs 'Em In

Singing competition plays out Saturday night to an overflow crowd at Muskego Community Festival.

The final six contestants in Muskego's Teen Idol competition each performed two songs for a panel of three judges Saturday night, and at the end of the evening, the votes were tallied, and the winner of the competition was Jessie West. She receives a $300 award for her efforts, and received an ovation from the  big crowd that sat in rapt attention for about two hours waiting for the results.

"It's an event that has gotten so popular at the festival, that we may need to consider a bigger tent next year," said Rob Lucas emcee of Muskego's Teen Idol and owner of Music 2 Move You.

Lucas has been the show's emcee since its beginning about six years ago, and said the talent and appeal for Muskego's Teen Idol has grown "by leaps and bounds."
