Muskego Names New Bay Lane Principal
A former elementary school teacher and principal will assume the Bay Lane Middle School principal position next year.

The Muskego-Norway School District has named a replacement for Bay Lane Middle School Principal Erik Olson.Â
Dawn Zandt will join the Bay Lane school community for the 2013-14 school year. She is currently a consultant for the state Department of Public Instruction and a mentor and coach at Alverno College.
Zandt has previously served as an elementary school principal and teacher, as well as a director of curriculum and instruction.Â
"I am thrilled to join the Muskego-Norway School District and the Bay Lane school,"Â Zandt told the Muskego School Board Monday night.Â
"I welcome the opportunity to become a principal, mostly because I love children, love working with the staff and really value the relationships developed at that level."Â
The School Board unanimously approved the appointment and a salary of $106,000.Â
"Dawn brings a wealth of educational knowledge, experience and leadership skills to Bay Lane Middle School in her new role as principal," Muskego Assistant Superintendent Dennis Bussen said in a news release. "We are excited that Dawn will be assuming the Bay Lane principal position with Muskego-Norway schools."
Olson left the school after five years. His time at the school and accomplishments were detailed in this Patch blog.Â
