Muskego Parks & Rec: Your Guide to the Guide

Winter/spring activity guide has been released, and leaves no room to be bored.

With at least 20 new programs outlined in the book, the Muskego Parks and Recreation Department issued its activity guide for the winter/spring season to help combat what can seem to be the longest season of the year.

New items are featured across age groups, and are often 'pilots' to guage interest in various topics.  Here's the list:

  • Tiny Twirlers (baton) 3-5 years
  • Sign language for childres 5-10 years
  • Nature kids 5-8 years
  • Fun science 5-8 years
  • Chess instruction grades 1-3
  • Buds & sprouts (gardening for kids) grades K-5
  • Cheerleading 4-9 years
  • Junk box wars (inventing & building) 7-11 years
  • Make & take plastic modeling 6-12 years
  • Zumbatomic (high-energy exercise) 4-15 years with or without parent

  • Bridge instruction - beginners and intermediate

In addition, at least 100 popular programs are offered, along with field trips for families are offered to the Field Museum in Chicago, and the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay.
