Muskego Police Warn of Driveway Pavers

While not confirmed as a scam, the practice of going door-to-door without a permit is against city ordinance, say Muskego Police.

The following is from a Muskego Police Department release:

In the last several days, the Muskego Police Department has received several complaints from residents who have reported receiving unsolicited offers to seal or repavetheir asphalt driveways.Β

While we cannot definitively say that these are not legitimate businesses, this type of business practice is questionable, as it usually involves cash transactions and leaves the consumer with little recourse if the work or material is faulty.

Currently, no company has a solicitor’s permit through the City of Muskego to go door-to-door offering driveway repair. For that reason these businesses, legitimate or not, are in violation of city ordinance.
