Muskego Sports Groups Present Building Plan to Schools

Muskego-Norway District discusses a joint proposal for the construction of a storage building, which will be funded by track and junior football groups.

The Track and Field Staff has teamed up with the Muskego Junior Warriors football team to propose and fund a storage building, which would be built near the northwest corner of the athletic field at the high school.

Dean Strom, school board member, told the board Monday night that he felt the proposal "looked good, and each party has committed to funding their half of the costs."

The building will be made of structural steel and will feature a restroom in the plans.  The funds were raised over a period of three years through an event with the Special Olympics.  The site was chosen for its proximity to the track surface, and also serves as an ideal spot for the Junior Warriors Program.

The board will make a decision on the proposal, perhaps as early as their next meeting in January. Should they approve the building, the next step will be approval from the city.
