New Hire Will Coordinate School District's Technology
The Muskego-Norway School District has named a replacement for its technology director.

The Muskego-Norway School Board has unanimously approved hiring Tony Spence to replace Technology Director Bob Boyd.Â
Among the duties of Spence's new position, called chief information officer, are supervising and coordinating all of the district's technology operations and staff, as well as overseeing electronic student and financial management systems, including the submission of state reports.
"(Spence) possesses the skills needed to improve key work processes as the new chief information officer for Muskego-Norway schools," Assistant Superintendent Dennis Bussen said in a news release. "We are excited to have Tony in his new role and look forward to his visionary leadership in advancing the district forward."
Spence, who is working to complete his Ph.D. in educational leadership, said he was delighted to join the school district.Â
"My goal is for Muskego-Norway to hold the strongest reputation for technology in the state and continue to keep the focus on students when it comes to making decisions about technology in our schools," he said in a news release.
Spence begins his duties July 1 at a salary of $105,000.
