No Evidence of Arson in Car Fire, Say Police, Fire Officials

Muskego Police and Tess Corners Fire personnel responded to a car fire on Saturday, Nov. 10 around 5 a.m., and despite claims by resident Noelle Lorraine, who formerly owned the car, have found no evidence that the vehicle was the target of arson.

According to reports, Lorraine initially told police she felt the fire was caused in the 1997 Toyota Camry by an inverter that was left plugged in overnight. Fire Chief Carl Wojnowski agreed that the most likely cause for the fire.

The vehicle had been recently sold by the woman to another party, but was parked at her residence at the time of the fire, according to the report.

A blog posted earlier by Lorraine on Muskego Patch and other Patch sites had drawn negative comments, but police said that none were threatening. There was no evidence of the use of accelerants in the fire.
