No Threats to Muskego Schools, but Plans for 2013 Beef Up Security
Since the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary, a few area districts have received threats; while Muskego schools haven't received any, preparations are underway to increase security precautions in 2013

Waukesha South and North principals said there are rumors on Facebook about "something bad happening" at the school. Oak Creek Superintendent Sara Burmeister said but the Oak Creek Police Department is taking it seriously and investigating.
Late Tuesday, Hamilton School District administrators received calls from parents who were hearing rumors from their children of a potential threat as well.

However, Muskego High School Principal Ryan Oertel said no such threats have been rumored at the high school.
"That being said, Muskego High School takes a serious and proactive approach to school safety; it is our top priority," he told Muskego Patch.
Oertel also said that the high school's administrative team, School Resource Officer (SRO), and school and district emergency response teams continue to revisit safety and security protocols and measures and refine accordingly. Â
