Parks Board Will Discuss Sponsorships at Park Arthur
Monday's meeting includes discussion with Muskego Warriors baseball, updates on goose abatement around Idle Isle and the upcoming summer program guide.
The Muskego Park and Recreation Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. at and the following items are on the agenda:
A discussion of potential sponsorship with the Muskego Warriors at Park Arthur to assist in the construction of the baseball fields underscores the department's interest in working with other community partners in developing its parks. The largest field at Park Arthur has drawn great interest from various leagues and clubs due to its regulation size, outfield fencing and lighting.
Parks Director Craig Anderson will also update efforts to monitor the goose population at Idle Isle. Lake residents are asked permission to allow for egg oiling on their properties to manage the population of the flocks that many feel have overtaken the park.
Gerald Boisits recently announced his resignation from the parks board, and a new citizen member was recently appointed at a common council meeting in late March. Boisits felt his representation of Michael Dilworth, who owned property that may eventually become a city park, would provide a conflict of interest. This will be Paul Peardon's first meeting since that appointment.
