PHOTO GALLERY: Festival Friday

Patch captured a few of the sights and sounds as the Muskego Community Festival opened officially. Feel free to add your photos to the gallery on this or any of our festival stories.

Despite a very brief and random rain shower, the Friday night festivities at Veteran's Memorial Park went off without a hitch.

Organizers opened the festival with a ceremony involving the American Legion Post 356 and VFW Post 8171 presiding with the colors.

Wally Spitzer wanted everyone to know that the newest thing at the festival this year was the look of the midway.

"I noticed we lost the ferris wheel this year, but the rides added are terrific and really family-friendly," he said.

Bounce rides and a giant slide are part of the midway, provided by Calkins, and the number of tickets (which are 50 cents each for food, beverages and rides no matter how many you purchase) that each ride requires falls between five and eight.
