Police Weigh in On Jammin' Safety
Agreeing that it's an event you shouldn't miss, police urge caution whether you're a motorist or a pedestrian.

"If you didn't have an opportunity to get to one of the 'Jams' last year, don’t miss your chance this year," said Lt. Dave Constantineau with the Muskego Police Department. However, he quickly followed with, "If you do decide to 'Jam,' make sure you do it safely."
"With the reconstruction of Janesville Rd. in full swing, there are a million things out there to distract drivers. If you are on foot in the area, be aware that drivers may not always see you because of all the other things going on. It is important that you, and your children, realize this and take that extra couple of seconds to make sure you are seen," he said.
Constantineau also reminded drivers that the speed limit in the construction zone is 25 mph, "and focus on your driving. For that brief stretch of road, leave the radio on the song you don’t like, put the phone down, wait to take another bite of your burger; in short, pay attention!"

He added that the department is aggressively enforcing the 25 mph speed limit, as well as the speed limit on alternate roads, such as Woods Road and College Avenue.
For the hours of the festival he also advised to avoid the area if you don't really need to drive downtown.Â
