Possible Land Deal, Taste of Muskego Top the Week Ahead
Muskego aldermen may finally decide whether to buy a key parcel on Janesville Road from Waukesha County. But it's not a done deal yet. That's just one of the things happening this week in Muskego.

Tuesday
City may buy BP land: After months of debate and discussion, the Common Council is expected to make a decision on whether to purchase the former BP gas station on Janesville Road and Lannon Drive from Waukesha County. The council is divided on whether purchasing the land for $2,500 for possible redevelopment is in the best interests of the city. Alderman are expected to take up the matter at the meeting that starts at 7 p.m. at City Hall.Goth sock puppets? This isn't your ordinary kids craft project. Youngsters will get the chance to transform ordinary socks into funky goth sock puppets at a program that begins at 3 p.m. At the Muskego Public Library. Particpants can decorate their socks with crazy neon hair, safety pins and — of course — nose rings. Call the library at (262) 971-2100 to register.
Wednesday
Great eats by the lake: Great food from some of Muskego's top restaurants will be featured at "A Taste of Muskego on the Water," sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. The event takes place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and is being held in conjunction with the Muskego Water Bugs' weekly show at Idle Isle Park on Little Muskego Lake.
