Relay For Life Honors and Remembers in the Rain

Despite a rainy evening just as Luminia Ceremony begins, the spirit was warm and donations are still being accepted.

Despite a little drizzle as the ceremonial walk around the track in the dark began, friends and family of cancer survivors and victims logged in the miles and raised money during the American Cancer Society Relay for Life last week Friday.

A list of people were honored and remembered, each being named, one by one as a bagpiper led walkers around the track, past bleachers that featured the word 'HOPE' made from luminary bags arranged on the seats.

Under a tent, dozens of raffles were held, and prior to the somber Luminaria Ceremony, a festive atmosphere included games, music and food.
