Revoked Drivers Learn the Hard Way: Really, You Can't Drive

This week's police blotter from the Muskego Police Department features a "trending offense" with drivers who decided to drive anyway, getting pulled over and reminded that revoked means you can't drive.

Police first reported arresting a Milwaukee man on Feb. 1, around 8:20 p.m. for operating after revocation, which was drunk driving related in the area of College Avenue. and Hillendale Drive.

Joining him on the evening of Feb. 2 was a 24-year-old Hales Corners man for his second operating after revocation, also a drunk driving related revocation, in the area of Racine Avenue and Janesville Road after a reckless driving complaint alerted officers to the man.

In the wee hours of that day, a car in the ditch in the area of Crowbar Road and Field Drive led to the arrest of a 27-year-old Milwaukee woman for her second drunk driving offense, as well as operating after suspension and operating without insurance. 

A 39-year-old Muskego man was then arrested for driving his vehicle after revocation drunk driving in the S7700 block of Mystic Drive on Feb. 5, around 12:50 a.m. This was the same scenario for A 43-year-old Muskego woman on Feb. 6 at 2:41 a.m. in the area of Racine Avenue and Janesville Road.

Finally, on Feb. 13 around 5:30 a.m., a 29-year-old Waukesha man was arrested in the area of Saturn and Mercury Drive for operating after revocation and also violating ignition interlock requirements.

Thursday, Feb. 7 –

• A 19-year-old Mequon man was arrested for operating under the influence of drugs on Moorland Road and Princeton Drive. 

• A resident in the W14800 block of Cornell Cir. reported the theft of prescription medications from her residence. 

• A business in the W19100 block of Apollo Dr. reported the theft of equipment. 

Friday, Feb. 8 – Muskego officers assisted a DNR warden with the arrest of a 33-year-old Oak Creek man for operating a snowmobile while intoxicated in the area of Muskego Dam Road and Kelsey Drive. 

Saturday, Feb. 9 –

• A red 2000 Polaris snowmobile was stolen from outside Schmidt’s Refuge while the owner was inside the establishment. 

• A subject reported that the windshield wiper on his vehicle was damaged while it was parked at Denoon Park. 

Monday, Feb. 11 – A 21-year-old Muskego woman, who was stopped in the W14500 block of Cornell Circle for a traffic violation, was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon after a loaded handgun was found in her vehicle. 

Wednesday, Feb. 13 – A men’s bike was found, abandoned in the lot at Pick N Save. If you have lost a men’s bike recently, contact the police department. 

Thursday, Feb. 14 – A resident in the W13000 block of Somerset Drive reported his mailbox was damaged overnight.
