Ride Needs Your Help to Make It Memorable
Ride of Remembrance expected to draw 800-900 to Tess Corners Fire Station as it makes its way through southeastern Wisconsin on July 28.
If you're in Muskego around lunchtime on Saturday, July 28, it won't be thunder you're hearing. It will be the rumble of about 600-plus motorcyclists rolling into town as part of the Wisconsin State Firefighters Memorial 'Ride of Remembrance.'
Make a plan to be along the route for the riders, who will end up at Tess Corners Fire Station #1 on Tess Corners Drive for lunch catered by Matty's, around 12:30 p.m.
Riders will be coming in from Wind Lake on Loomis Drive, then heading north on North Cape Road (Highway OO) to Durham Drive/Moorland Road, turning east on Janesville and then right onto Tess Corners Drive.

Kathy Schaber, event organizer and member of the Tess Corners Fire Department, said spectators are welcome and encouraged along the route, and can park in the Salentine Buick lot, Moorland skate board park across from Jetz and along the road on Princeton Drive, and Kohl's Department Store lot.
With this being a first-of-its-kind event and the expectation of such a huge crowd of riders coming for a quick lunch, she said they can't accommodate the public for lunch, however.

Interested volunteers wouldn't be turned away, and Schaber said they are in need of donations, such as assorted snack chips, ice, soda and water. Monetary donations and raffle items are welcome as well.Â
"It going to be a sight to see!" Schaber said. "We want to encourage our citizens to come see us ride into town."Â
Any motorcycle riders are welcome to join them on the ride and the registration form can be found on the WSFM webite. The entrance fee of $35 offsets the cost of the ride and the remaining money is donated to the WSFM organization.Â
Anyone wishing to volunteer or donate should call the TCFD at 414-422-9733.
