Ride of Remembrance Route Announced

Grab your camera - or your earplugs - as the ride for the State Firefighters Memorial arrives from the south and rolls into Muskego on Saturday.

Don't say we didn't warn you.

The rumble of many hundreds of motorcycles will be heard as the rolls into town on Saturday near noon.

The ride is an annual event to raise money for the Wisconsin Firefighter's Memorial in Wisconsin Rapids, and it is the first year the #1 will be on its route.

While Muskego Police said there will be no road closures, they anticipate holding intersections open as the crowd of an estimated 700 motorcycles snakes its way through. The group will leave Hal's Harley Davidson at 11:30 a.m.

Coming in from at Greenfield High School on 60th Street, the route is as follows:

  • 60th Street WEST onto Grange Ave
  • LEFT/South onto Root River Parkway
  • RIGHT/South onto 76th Street
  • RIGHT onto 4 Mile Rd (AKA Highway U)
  • RIGHT onto E. Wind Lake Dr [AKA C.R. S].
  • LEFT onto G/Muskego Dam Road
  • RIGHT onto Loomis Drive
  • RIGHT onto East Loomis Rd
  • LEFT/North on C.R. OO/North Cape Road
  • LEFT/NWest onto Durham
  • RIGHT onto Princeton Drive (Just south of Janesville Road)
  • RIGHT onto Janesville Rd
  • RIGHT onto Tess Corners Drive to fire station.

A lunch for the riders is planned at the fire station before they continue on and the public is invited to encourage the riders along the route as they pass through.
