Road Closures Continue Along Janesville
Janesville Road itself won't be closed as utility construction continues, but side streets will experience brief interruptions.
Earlier, Pioneer Drive was closed as the parade of construction crews laid utility lines underground along Janesville Road, and now it's Kristen Drive's turn.
Crews were on scene Monday morning, working between El Vallarta and Associated Bank, which means that for the next day, Kristen Drive was closed to any traffic.
Access to the neighborhood is available down Pioneer Drive and Kristen Drive, near Marx Pioneer Inn.

A website for the project, janesvilleroad.com, features schedules and contact information for residents with any questions on the project, which is expected to complete roadwork by November 2013. Final beautification and street scaping will wrap up in 2014.

Crews are working their way east along Janesville to bury lines, and eventually remove the overhead lines and utility poles. Work is expected to complete in May, with road construction and widening to start in June.
