Road Closures on Parkland Drive, Janesville Road Announced
Overnight closure on Janesville hoped to have a minimal impact, while a longer closure on Parkland looks to address sewer installation.
Signs have been posted on Parkland Drive for a closure beginning July 2 to 10, and on Janesville Road Monday, July 2 from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. The Janesville Road closure will involve the roadway from Parkland Drive to Bellview (just west of Bay Lane Drive). Both closures are due to planned installation of concrete pavement in that intersection.
What's been happening in the project over the past two weeks?
In the previous week contractors installed concrete curb and gutter in the new road section. The contractors will be installing curb and gutter on the south side of the road, the curb and gutter on the connection streets south of CTH L and a majority of the median island curb.Â
Â
Large sections of curb and gutter appear to be missing along the center line of the road, but indicate areas where left-turn lanes and median openings are planned to allow for traffic flow from north to south. Once the contractor completed the installation of curb and gutter, they are proceeding with the installation of concrete pavement at the intersection of Parkland Drive and Janesville Road.

The contractor has received approval from the City of Muskego to close Parkland Drive to traffic during the installation of concrete pavement at the Parkland intersection. Contractors are asking for patience for the inconvenience the week-long closure on Parkland will cause. However the closure will allow them to "save approximately seven to ten days of construction time on the pavement and will produce a better end product."
