Roads Roundup: Janesville to Get Paving, Tess Corners to Close

Progress has been steady and in some cases ahead of schedule, so here's what to expect in the next two weeks.

Our summer of construction continues in earnest, with developments coming in the next couple of weeks for two of our road projects.

Janesville Road - If there are no weather delays or unforeseen problems on the project, the contractor plans to install the asphalt pavement on the first section of CTH L sometime during the week of July 16. Traffic will be moved to the new section of road soon after the completion of paving operations. Please look for message boards on the project site as they will continue to be used to relay information concerning lane closures and traffic switches. Parkland Drive continues to be closed at Janesville, with concrete pavement being laid in the approach.

Tess Corners Drive - signs have gone up that the approximately one-mile stretch of road will be closed beginning July 23. Crews plan on re-establishing a road base, as the subsoils have been failing, and resurface including a recreational path along the south side of the street to Woods Road.
