School's Out: Let's Read!
Muskego Public Library launches its annual summer reading program 'Dream Big: Read', and there's something for everyone in the family, not just kids. Registration begins June 14.

There will be no excuses to be bored this summer, as the launches its summer reading - and doing - programs, 'Dream Big: Read!' Along with books, there will be presentations by various groups to occupy your kid's time. They've even thrown in quite a few offerings for teens and adults as well. Registration begins Thursday, June 14 and some programs have a limit, so take advantage of the opportunity soon.
"Little Dreamers" ages 3-6
Wednesdays, June 20 & 27; July 11, 18, & 25
Ages 3 - 6 years
Time - 9:30 - 10:05 AMÂ or 10:30 - 11:05 AM (Same program will be repeated.)
Registration is required and will begin June 14th.

"Lunch Bunch" for kids entering grades 1-5

Pack a lunch and come to the library.While you enjoy your meal, read and talk about great books for summer reading. After lunch there will be games. Ms. Penny will provide a treat each session. (In case of threatening weather, the Lunch Bunch will meet in the library.)

"Star Shine Shows" - all ages
Programming includes movies, songs, stories and presentations that cover science, critters and audience participation. Click here for a more detailed list.

Friends of the Library purchase a copy of each title for students to foster the love of reading and life long learning. Registration is required and begins June 14th. Limited space available.
Shooting Stars Book Group - students finishing grades 4 & 5

Star Gazers Book Group - students finishing grades 6 - 8
Thursday, July 5 & 26, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.
Generations Book Group - Open to all adults, parents & students in grades 9 - 12

Interested in what's going on in teen books? Here is one of the answers. They will be reading 'Beauty Queens' by Libba Bray. Registration is required, and will begin on June 14th. The first 30 people to register will receive a free copy of the book.

"Writers Write" - Students finishing grades 6 – 12
Tuesdays June 19 & 26; July 3, 10, 17, & 24, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Explore your writing talents. Each week we will work on different writing projects. At the end of this workshop you will have a book of your own.
LIMIT: 15 writers; registration is required and will begin on June 14th.

"Catch a Falling Star" - Students finishing grades 6 – 12
Thursdays June 21 & 28; July 5, 12, 19, & 26, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Do you like to take pictures? Grab your camera and start shooting. Each week we will have an assignment. Print your shots. Every week we will display the pictures in the library. LIMIT: 15 Registration is required and will begin on June 14th.

"Murder by the Book" - adults; 3rd Tuesday of the month, 7 p.m.
 An adult book discussion group devoted to mysteries in all forms. Tuesday, June 19th will feature 'The Retribution' by Val McDermid

"Between the Covers" - adults; 3rd Thursday of the month, 1 p.m.
Please consider joining several Friends of the Library as they meet to discuss what they found "Between the Covers." They will be discussing 'The Red Tent' by Anita Diamant on June 21. A copy of the book is available for checkout at the circulation desk.
