School's Out: Police Note Instances of Underage Drinking

Perhaps it's youthful wisdom to think if you're drinking outside, you won't get caught, but a number of arrests made over the past two weeks prove that theory wrong.

After a week hiatus from the blotter, Muskego Police Lt. Dave Constantineau catches us up with the most recent incidences requiring their attention the past two weeks.

Friday, June 15 –

  • A resident in the S8400 block of Country View Ct. reported a theft from her home. Suspects have been identified.
  • Unknown subject(s) attempted to break into a storage unit in the W12500 block of Loomis Ct.
  • The convertible top of a vehicle was damaged while it was parked in the W17000 block of Janesville Rd.
  •  19 year old West Allis woman was arrested for drunk driving after two off duty Walworth County Sheriff’s deputies reported she was going the wrong way on STH 36.

  • An 18 year old New Berlin woman was arrested for drunk driving after crashing her car near Tess Corners Fire Station #4 on Racine Ave.
  • A woman’s bike was found in the S6400 block of Saroyan Ct.
  • A residence in the W18200 block of Parker Dr. was burglarized. A suspect has been arrested and charged.
  • Two bicycles were recovered from Lions Park.

Monday June 18 –

  • A residence on Clearbrook Dr. was toilet papered. Several juveniles in the area admitted involvement.
  • Four businesses in the Muskego Industrial Park were burglarized during the evening of June 17, 2012. A suspect has been identified and is in custody.
  • A 35 year old West Allis man and 24 year old Muskego woman were taken into custody minutes after they attempted to break into a residence in the S8200 block of Pasadena Dr.
  • A man living in the W18900 block of Lions Park called 911 to report his 21” gray/white/red Trek bicycle was stolen overnight.
  • A resident in the W16600 block of College Ave. reported the theft of a political sign from his yard between 11:00am and 1:00pm.
  • Officers are investigating damage to a boat, which appears to have been struck while tied to a pier in the S6600 block of Muskego Dr.

Tuesday, June 19 – A vehicle was damaged while parked in a parking lot in the S7900 block of Durham Dr.

Wednesday, June 20 – An officer stopping to check on the welfare of a 20 year old Muskego woman walking in the area of Martin Dr. and Hardtke Dr. at 2:45a.m., resulted in the woman being cited for underage drinking.

Thursday, June 21 – A 21 year old Muskego man was arrested for burglarizing the home of a friend in the S7900 block of Bay Lane Place.

Friday, June 22

  • A vehicle involved in a hit and run near Martin Dr. and East Dr. was located at a residence in the S9200 block of Racine Ave. Officers are continuing to investigate.
  • A wallet was stolen from an employee at Muskego Health Care Center. A suspect has been identified, and officers continue to investigate.

Saturday, June 23 – A 31 year old Milwaukee man was arrested after stealing a cell phone at a rummage sale in the S7800 block of Quietwood Dr.

Sunday, June 24 – Several noise complaints in the S8200 block of Pioneer Dr. led to the arrest of numerous individuals from Muskego, Waterford, Wind Lake, and Burlington for underage drinking, obstructing, and obedience to officer.

June 25, 2012

  • A noise complaint and a night of skinny dipping in Lake Brittany was compounded when five 17 year old Muskego girls were cited for underage drinking after fleeing officers.
  • A device constructed of household chemicals and a plastic bottle, was placed on the front porch of a residence in the W17600 block of Clearbrook Dr. exploded. No one was hurt, and no permanent damage was done. Officers are investigating.
  • A caller reported two subjects sitting in a car in the W19000 block of Wentland Dr. around 8:30pm, and appeared to be smoking marijuana. two Muskego men, one 17, the other 19, were arrested for possession of marijuana.

Tuesday, June 26 –

  • A 29 year old Glendale woman was arrested for shoplifting at Kohl’s Department Store.
  • At approximately 4:00pm, a caller reported juveniles drinking on a pontoon boat on Bass Bay. Two 17 year old girls, one from Muskego, one from Wind Lake, were cited for underage drinking. Three 17 year old Muskego girls and one 17 year old Muskego boy received underage alcohol referrals.
  • A 23 year old West Allis man was cited after stealing an iPod in the S7800 block of Janesville Rd.

Wednesday, June 27 –

  • A 19 year old Muskego female was arrested for operating under the influence of drugs in the area of Durham Pl. and Westcot Dr. A 17 year old Muskego man was also arrested for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
  • A 23 year old Wind Lake man was arrested for drunk driving on Janesville Rd. at Park Dr.
  • A garage in the W16900 block of Woods Rd. was burglarized, and a bicycle taken.
  • A homeowner in the S10600 block of S Karen Ct. reported a theft from his vehicle.
  • A homeowner in the S8100 block of Lannon Dr. reported someone had thrown items in their pool.
  • A car in the W20700 block of Valerie Dr. was entered, but nothing was taken.
  • A landscape light was stolen from a yard in the W17700 block of Haven
