Sign of the Times: Salentine Name Removed From its Familiar Corner
Progress at the site of the former dealership includes the removal of signs, name of Salentine Buick.

During a sunny Saturday, a lone crane operator was at work at the corner of Janesville Road and Tess Corners Drive, making short work of removing another familiar sign at Salentine Buick.
The dealership closed in February after the economics of selling a single-brand caught up to it. Owners said they knew that an upcoming remodel, required by GM, would have further placed them in debt and they decided to close. There is interest in the property according to the family, but there has not been a sale as of yet.
The Salentine name has been synonymous with cars in Muskego since 1923, and the family has been actively involved in serving the community, something that family members Sue and Carey Sorensen said will not change.
