Sportsmanship Awards Given to Muskego Teams
The Classic 8 conference welcomes Muskego sports by recognizing student sportsmanship on the courts and in the pool

The Muskego High School girls tennis, boys and girls volleyball and girls swim teams each received recognition for sportsmanship from the Classic 8 conference.
"Scott Kugi (athletic director) and the rest of the staff at Muskego HS are making sportsmanship a priority and they are a great example to the rest of the conference," wrote Commissioner Dave Sternig.
Muskego joined the conference this school year. It also includes Catholic Memorial, Waukesha West, Waukesha South and Waukesha North, Kettle Moraine, Arrowhead and Pius High Schools.

Kugi told Muskego Patch that each individual head varsity coach votes on the sportsmanship of their conference colleagues, i.e., all football coaches vote on all football programs. Points are tallied and a winner announced.
"Muskego is privileged to be a member of the Classic Eight Conference. We are please at the sportsmanship recognition in girls tennis, girls swimming and boys and girls volleyball," he said. "This is a testament to the efforts on character education our staff have provided for our kids. In addition, its a validation of the Warriors Way credo we espouse. These awards are as significant as any conference championship as they reinforce the importance of education based athletics."
