Student Art Takes Center Stage At CMH

Catholic Memorial's Art Department presents talent on canvas, photography and in sculpture from students throughout the county

Perhaps one of the largest displays of student art among local high schools, the Catholic Memorial High School art show was presented this week Thursday and Friday. More than 1,500 pieces were on display and featured work from 234 different students, or 34 percent of the student body.

Watercolors, acrylic and oil paintings were displayed along with photography, digital imagery design, and sculpture pieces. The library was made over into a gallery for the event, which has been a highlight of the school year and has grown in its scope over the past 10 years.

Students from Muskego, Waukesha, Brookfield, and about 20 other surrounding communities attend CMH and had work displayed in the show.
