Taking the 'Jam' Out of 'Jammin'

Perhaps one of the most popular facets of Jammin' on Janesville in 2011 was the trolley transports that some folks rode just for the experience.

This year, there will be more shuttles (not all will be the signature red trolleys, but will get you from here to there) to move the anticipated larger crowds, as well as additional routes, parking and stops. Here's a quick overview of how to make the most of the available transportation:

Parking -

For June, Muskego High School will have parking to coincide with the Relay for Life events. Shuttles will include the high school in their routes.

Other suggested lots that will have shuttle pick up service include (west to east) Piggly Wiggly, Pick n Save, Kohl's Department Store and Lincoln Point Shopping Center.

Shuttle routes

New this year, shuttles will run shorter routes instead of each running the entire length of the route. Comments from festival goers last year indicated the ride took too long to get back to their car or desired destination. Here are the routes that will 'loop' certain sections of the festival route.

Note that shuttles will continue traveling east bound for those stops on the south side of the street, and westbound for those stops on the north side of the street. Patrons wishing to travel end-to-end will need to transfer at Bethel Lutheran and Kohl's.

Muskego High School - Piggly Wiggly - Bethel Lutheran: this route will loop continuously and head back to the high school via Pioneer Drive

Bethel Lutheran - Kohl's: this route covers the downtown area to Moorland Road; includes stops at Tess Corner's Fire Station, Muskego Warehouse Beer & Liquor, Muskego Chamber of Commerce/O'Reilly lot, High Tide, Pick n Save, Muskego Public Library and Walgreens.

Kohl's - Lincoln Point: the 'eastern loop' providing service between the lot at Kohl's and the festivities at Lincoln Point.
