Teen Advisory Board Dissolving

The group plans to send the more than $2,000 in its account to city organizations. Muskego Patch also has a round-up of other items of interest on the council agenda.

The Muskego Teen Advisory Board has decided to dissolve, and has indicated the funds still in their account from previous fundraisers will be distributed to various city organizations. The group was formed a number of years ago and was the organization that brought the Teen Idol competition to the Muskego Community Festival.

The announcement came during a finance committee meeting Tuesday night as part of the slate of meetings at City Hall.

Anna Aiuppa, one of the remaining members of the group, indicated in an email to Mayor Kathy Chiaverotti, that $1,000 would be given to the Muskego High School Music Friends; $800 to the Muskego Food Pantry; $200 to the Muskego Woman's Club and $143.18 to the Muskego Performing Arts Council.

In addition, other items on the Common Council's agenda included:

The approval of a new vending machine that will be more accessible to the public at City Hall. Presently there are two, one each at the  and City Hall, which serves employees. However, the library had indicated that they haven't used theirs much in the past, so the city is eliminating that one, and replacing the one at City Hall. The new machine will serve soft drinks and snacks and will be placed in the front vestibule of the building to allow for more public access.

A , just south of Janesville Road. Traffic concerns were brought forth to the Public Safety Committee earlier, and a sign will be placed at the northeast corner of the intersection.
