Top 10 Stories: #10 - Furry and Fearsome
Meow! Woman in nearby town says there was a cat in her yard, but didn't want to take this one inside.
Many people move out to the area to enjoy the rural nature and its wildlife, but one woman in nextdoor Big Bend got more than she bargained for.
Published in September, at the end of a very dry summer, a few theories that the cougar that was sunning itself in her yard may have been in search of food along the Fox River, as the lack of food sources had affected critters all along the food chain.
Sadly, the Ellen Cole couldn't get a picture of the creature because her trail cam batteries were dead and her camera was in the car, near to where the big cat was reclining, and she didn't want to retrieve it for the picture.Â
